The Shadow Series II had upgraded rack and pinion steering and better suspension. The extra 4” of room is in the rear where the legroom is like a limousine – in fact, this was the personal limousine of the Hoover family (as in vacuum cleaners). The Wraith II was made from 1975 through 1980 and only 2,135 were made.
The car drives like new with its 6.75L V8 and automatic transmission. It is smooth, quiet and powerful, yet responds nicely. The tires are practically new radials with the correct whitewall.
The interior has black Connelly hides, black wool carpets and black lamb’s wool overlays. (there is some wear to a couple overlays) There are footrests for the rear occupants.
The air-conditioning/climate control system works fine and supplies cool or warm air as needed, although it might benefit from a charge. John Palma upgraded the compressor and radiator. Power windows, power seats are all working fine. The 6.75L V8 works fine and effortlessly. The transmission shifts smoothly. Entertainment is with an Alpine AM/FM/CD unit which was an upgrade from the original.
All of the manuals are included. The car was previously maintained by Palma Automotive. There is no rust on this car. The chrome shines like new. The paint looks like new. There is a crack at the base of the C Pillar where lead was used to fill the gap at the factory which is a common Shadow problem, especially for the longer wheelbase models. Additionally, the accumulators will need to be recharged soon.
